Hello! I'm Alice Kang.

I am the evening anchor at NBC5 in South Burlington, Vermont. I've been at WPTZ for almost five years. My time in the Champlain Valley began as the morning anchor in 2018. Two years later, I was promoted to my current role as the main evening anchor.

 

I have become a trusted journalist and face in our market covering major news stories. Some of my work includes contentious election coverage and Vermont's largest city defunding their police department, which gained a lot of national attention. I also have hosted political debates ahead of November's history making mid-term elections.

A little about me, I’m a first generation American who grew up in a tight-knit Korean family in Chicago. I’m very passionate and proud of being an Asian American. I’m also fluent in Korean.
